Occasional field notes

Choose your useful updates.

Used only for your chosen updates and subscription messages. No visitor account is created.

What would you like to receive?

Your subscription is not active until you confirm through the email link. Confirmation links expire after 48 hours.

A deliberate subscription

  1. Request. Choose your topics. The site prepares a confirmation email; it does not subscribe you immediately.
  2. Confirm. Open the emailed link to prove the address is yours. In preview mode, use the operator outbox instead.
  3. Leave anytime. Your confirmation email includes an unsubscribe link. No retention call, account, or login.

The subscription service stores your email, selected topics, and confirmation status. Only hashed security tokens are stored.

Privacy controls

A first-party count, only with permission.

Analytics are optional and do not come from an advertising network. Accepting creates a random first-party browser identifier, valid for 180 days, and records discrete actions such as a search or saved shortlist. Raw event history is deleted after 90 days.

  • What stays on your device

Search terms, quote briefs, project notes, checklists, and portable project files are not included in analytics.

  • What you can withdraw

Reset the analytics choice to clear its browser identifier and delete matching event history. Global Privacy Control keeps analytics off.

  • What remains operational

Claims, payments, explicit introduction requests, and email subscriptions have their own separate records. Declining analytics does not cancel them.
